Library Related Blog

So, I found Library Juice. Sounds like good stuff, cutting edge thoughts on librarianship and the issues we face. One entry used the word "Truth." Hmmm, I'm not sure how I feel about using that word. gotta go

RSS

Well, I'm not certain the RSS feeds I selected are what we are aiming at, but I found The World Bank's news feeds interesting. It isn't just news, the RSS feeds contain info about projects sponsored by the WB. I elected to get newsfeeds from African, Latin America and The Middle East and North Africa. Due to time constraints, the only one I read today was the Latin American WB newsfeed. Climate change, the world wide economic crisis, going green, etc. were the topics at hand.

As for news, unlike most members of my family, I usually watch the TV. I can see how much more useful this RSS is for news gathering. I'll have to do some more hunting and find other quality news sites.

PicturePlay

Playing with photographs is so much fun. What a lark. I'm definitely going to use Flickr and a picture editor in the future, though my brother may not think it is so funny, no, he will laugh too. Anyway, this was way fun.

All is Well

I've been trying to upload photos from my flash drive, hmmmm??????

Oh, I'm also knitting a sweater, really cool, bright, crazy colors, I think I'll call it Fiesta Sweater, but I messed up on the neckline. Now what?

This blog technology is pretty cool, but I have no important info to share. My brother is visiting from South Korea and we're having a good time. He enjoys staying up late talking to Dad. Mom and I tend to go to bed early.

Hey, I have a question---how do guys remember the most obscure sports stats from two gazillion years ago? I'm talking, "Do you remember that play when whosit fumbled and then ....
I guess I'm being sexist. I'm sure there are women who can do the same. But why can a guy remember the sports stuff but not his wedding anniversary!!!!

71/2 Habits

Formulating effective plans to accomplish specific tasks is somewhat difficult for me. Sometimes I can't see outcomes because I don't have information about what has worked for others, and what might work for me based upon my strengths and weaknesses. Plan, plan, plan. Got to get better at planning and implementation.
